Three cards, Three Techniques & Three Videos!

I have been having a blast creating for my Facebook Live Classes and am trying to catch up posting them here on my blog. This is what I have going on with my classes:
  • Tuesday Techiques: First Tuesday of each month at 7 pm EST
  • Friday Folds: Last Friday of each month at 7 pm EST
  • Design With Debbie: Every Wednesday at 8 pm EST and I invite you to stamp along with me. I post a list of supplies you need on Sundays!
If you haven't "followed" and "liked" my business Facebook page yet, do so and you'll be notified of my classes:

I have three projects and three videos for you today.  All three projects feature "techniques" and you can find out more about each project by viewing my videos below or on YouTube.

My first card is called the "Black Ice Technique". I had to giggle when I saw the name of this technique. I live in Maine and we deal with black ice all winter long! Black ice is when the surface of the pavement looks wet and black but is actually iced over and VERY dangerous. Here's my card:

You can view my video here and if you can't get the video to work due to your electronic device, I have included the link below the video:

Card #2 uses the "Ink Refill Spritzed Background Technique" and yes, you guessed it....I used Ink Refills and I'll show you how in my video:

You can view the video here or click on the link:

For my final card, I used the "Spotlight in Multiples Technique". This sample is somewhat close to one I saw on Pinterest and I loved the multiple spotights:

And you can view this third video here:

Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. Today's theme is using a "Motivational Greeting" on our projects. I had a really hard time with this one and decided to use a greeting from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. I am so glad that this bundle carried over to the upcoming Annual Catalog!

I surrounded the greeting with some stamped branches and then added some die-cuts to create a pretty little scenery. I just love the die-cut lawn chair don't you?

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: 11" x 4-1/4". Score and fold at 5-1/2".
  • Layer #2: Fresh Florals Designer Paper 5-1/4" x 4". Glue to card base.
  • Layer #3: 4-1/2" x 3-1/2". Emboss using the Hexagons Embossing Folder. Glue to card front.
  • Layer #4: Whisper White Cardstock 4" x 3". Stamp the sentiment using Basic Black Ink. Using a Sponge Dauber and Pool Party Ink, Sponge over the sentiment. Stamp the branch image using Soft Suede Ink on both sides of the sentiment. Set aside.
  • Grass: Cut (2) strips of grass using Lemon Lime Twist and the Picnic Basket Builder Dies. Glue to the bottom of Layer #4 and trim to fit.
  • Chair: Cut one chair using Crumb Cake Cardstock and glue over the grass.
  • Flowers: Stamp the flower images on Blushing Bride Cardstock using Flirty Flamingo Ink. Cut with the dies and glue in place.
  • Glue Layer #4 to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamparatus Vertical & Horizontal Stamping, an Embossed Butterfly and New Videos!

Good Morning! You are in luck today. I have two new projects and two new videos using the Stamparatus tool. Both of the videos are from a Facebook Live demonstration. I've been having so much fun with my Facebook videos.

Let's take a look at my first card for today. I used a candle image from the Picture Perfect stamp set and used the "hinge technique" from the Stamparatus to go across horizontally:

I love the way my candles and flames turned out and here's a close-up:

I'll show you how to achieve this in my video below. If you can't view the video from your electronic device, I have added the link below the video for you to click on:

For my 2nd project, I used the Stamparatus to stamp vertically using the "hinge technique" again. I love that we have two clear plates and that the hinges are on both a vertical side and a horizontal side. The stamp set used on this card is the Background Bits:

Isn't the card just beautiful with the color combo I used?

And here's a photo of the inside:

I have a video for this one also and again, if you can't click on the video, the link is listed below the video:

Lastly, want to learn how to stamp a butterfly and create your own embossed color with the Stamparatus? Here's the card using the Watercolor Wings stamp set:

Look how shiny my inked butterfly is:

I have 3 layers of Clear Embossing Powder and each and every time, because of the Stamparatus, the ink is in the same exact spot!

You can view my video here or click on the link below it:

Control Freaks April Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone and welcome to our Control Freaks April Blog Hop! This month, our theme is "Splash Of Color" and I created two cards. If you arrived here from my teammate LeeAnn Greff's blog or you are starting off with me, I will direct you to the next person on the hop at the end of my post. Take a peek at my two projects:

For my first card, I am using some new products from the upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. I just love this cute octopus and all of his coordinating layers:

What I do love the most is the fishing net that I cut with the die and did you spy the new twine? Here is a listing of the new stuff I used:
  • Sea Of Textures stamp set
  • Under The Sea Dies
  • Silver & Pool Party Baker's Twine

The colors I used are Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party and Soft Suede. These are all colors that are staying in our color families in the new catalog!

For Card #2, I used one of my favorite colors that will be retired on May 31st. I only have about six weeks left to use up my stash of Tempting Turquoise:

I used the Ink Refill Spritzing Technique on the background of my card. This was a layer that was sitting on my counter from a video I did on this technique and I thought I would use it up:

 New products used:
  • Love What You Do stamp set
  • Painted Glass stamp set
  • Foliage Frame Dies

I hope you enjoyed my two cards for this month and I hope you will visit all of my teammates participating with the blog hop. Please visit my talented teammate Melissa Davies next!

3D Thursday and a FREE Project Sheet!

Good Morning and guess what? It's 3D Thursday already! I have another 3D Project and FREE Project Sheet from our 3D Thursday team. This week, my teammate Twila Davis created this Stamp Case Organizer. Isn't it the neatest project?

And this is what the case looks like when open:

There's a calender, an envelope pocket, a pen and a notepad. This was be so perfect to give as a gift or to keep in your purse of glove compartment. Here are the details of the front:

OnStage Display Stampers Projects Day #5!

Hello again and welcome to my last day of projects for the Hartford Connecticut OnStage event. If you missed any of my projects from the past four posts, you can view them all together here: DISPLAY STAMPER PROJECTS.

I have three coordinating projects for you today. A card, a coordinating envelope and a box using the Window Box Thinlits Dies. The three new products you will see today are:

  • Share What You Love Specialty Designer Paper
  • Love What You Do Stamp Set
  • Colored Doilies

I added a layer of Vellum Cardstock over the designer paper to make it a little more subtle. I also added some die-cuts from the Flourish Thinlits Dies (which are carrying over to the new Annual Catalog) and then hand-cut some of the flowers from the designer paper to make my beautiful cluster:

I can't stress enough, how pretty this pack of designer paper is. And it's a large package too. 24 sheets of 12 x 12. The next photo shows you a close-up of my layers:

I used all of the same supplies and layers for my box:

And again, I hand-cut lots of flowers from the designer paper:

And the box was created using the Window Box Thinlits Dies (which is also carrying over to the new Annual Catalog). The Color Doilies glued over a piece of Vellum Cardstock and the designer paper, makes a great backdrop for all of my other pieces:

I hope you enjoyed all five days of my projects. This is what my display board looked like at OnStage in Hartford Connecticut:

Now I'll show you photo's of our event. This was the sign that greeted us and showed us what direction to go in to find the ballroom:

Table decor with beautiful butterfly die-cuts....you know how I feel about butterflies right? And yes, this will be a new die in the new catalog. I need it! We even got to take some of these home with us:

In the center of our table sat this great, big, plastic container full of new products for us to use with our Make-n-Take projects. We were not allowed to peek until told to do so:

Our agenda:

Our host was Spencer Willis from our Home Office. He was a riot:

The reveal of our new Annual Catalog. We also got one into our hands right after this was shown. So yes, I have a new Annual Catalog in hand! Do you want one soon?

My demo friends Suzanne Travis and Carol Walker. Carol won one of the very first Prize Patrols and she was hiding the stamp set as we were not allowed to show it yet!

I am an Advisor with the Facebook group Paper Pumpkin Fan Club and this is our advisor group. The page is hosted by Rachel Tessman and Jason Loucks is also one of the advisors. It was neat that we were all at the same venue to be able to snap a photo together:

Stampin' Up! is celebrating our 30th year so that's me holding up the signs:

This group of girls is all related somehow on our team of demonstrators. We are either Uplines, Downlines or Sidelines to each other!

Myself, Andrea Withers and my demo friend Linda Callaghan.

Andrea works for Stampin' Up! as the Curriculum Manager. She is the one that sent me all of those new goodies to stamp my display projects with.

Linda and I. We have a neat story. Linda is from New York and we joined Stampin' Up! at almost exactly the same time. We hooked up over 9 years ago online somehow and have been social media buddies ever since. We finally got to meet for more then a few mintues at a time and sat together at the event. Hi Linda!

All of the new goodies, catalog and tote I received at the event:

A thank you card from the staff of the Connecticut OnStage, thanking me for my display projects.......awwww! What an honor this was for me!

What's in the pretty box? Keep scrollling.....

Still don't know what's in the box, keep scrolling.......

Ahhh....that's what was in the box. An adorable light box!

Here it is in the dark:

The light box came with letters, numbers and symbols so you can slide whatever you want to display. How nice is that? Thanks for visiting today. I hope you liked all 5 days of my displays!
